UniApp is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Uladzislau Dubouski, identification number 305615867, Besarion Zhgenti Street 49, Apartment 20, Tbilisi, Georgia, which is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
1. What data we collect
- Account information — email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
- Profile information — academic details you choose to provide (intended major, test scores, citizenship, etc.).
- Saved schools and favourites — universities, courses, and notes you save to your account.
- Payment information — handled by Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for our orders. We never receive or store your card number, CVC, or full billing details. We receive the order details needed to give you access (email, plan, date, amount, country).
2. How we use your data
- To provide and personalize the service (displaying universities and cost calculations relevant to your profile).
- To give you the paid access you purchased and handle refund requests.
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, deadline reminders you have enabled).
- To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
UniApp relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and storage. Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases.
- Paddle — reseller and Merchant of Record for our orders: checkout, payment, tax and invoices. Paddle processes your payment data under its own privacy notice.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (account verification, password resets, deadline reminders).
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
4. Cookies
UniApp uses a minimal set of cookies, limited to what is necessary for authentication:
- Supabase auth cookies — session tokens to keep you signed in. These are strictly functional and cannot be used for tracking.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — view all information stored in your account via the dashboard and settings pages.
- Update your data — edit your profile information at any time.
- Delete your data — permanently delete your account and all associated data from the delete account page. This action is irreversible. Mistake reports you sent us are kept without your name or account, so we can keep correcting university data.
- Export your data — request a copy of your data by contacting us.
6. GDPR compliance
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Our lawful basis for processing personal data is (a) your consent when you create an account and (b) legitimate interest in providing and improving the service.
7. Data accuracy disclaimer
University data displayed on UniApp is collected from publicly available sources and direct correspondence with institutions. While we make reasonable efforts to verify accuracy, all data is provided as-is without warranty. Always confirm details directly with the relevant university.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
